Recently Daimler Benz purchased Chrysler Corp. What you are saying is
every piece of software Chrysler owned will now have to be re-purchased.

are they going to be mad).

Hold on Bob! I know that your comment was tongue-in-cheek, but it nearly
was the truth with us!!

A couple of years ago, we (Rockwell Collins) were actually 2 divisions that
decided to merge back together again. (A long story!) Anyway, when you
walked into our complex, there was no way that you could tell what belonged
to which division. We shared almost everything and the only wall between
divisions was paper. Well, because of political reasons (another long
story), we had two different CAD softwares. When word of the merger got to
one of the CAD software vendors, they decided that even though we were all
the same company and it was just a merger on paper, they wanted us to
relicense the software at the normal fee! That was around 60 seats!
Fortunately, they came around once they figured out that we might drop them
in favor of the other software that didn't want transfer fees.
