Try "Material Characterization of Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) ABS by
Designed Experiment" by Montero, Roundy, Odell, Ahn, and Wright. Copyright
is 2001 by Society of Manufacturing Engineering.
Same authors published "Anisotropic material properties of FDM ABS" in the
Rapid Prototyping Journal, Vol 8, #4, 2002, p248-257.
Also check "Effect of layer orientation on mechanical Properties of rapid
prototyped samples" by Es-said, Noorani, Mendelson, Marloth and Pregger
published in "Materials and Manufacturing Processes" vol 15, #1, Jan 2000,
Hope this helps.
