You can convert MRI images into STL files using Mimics from Materialise N.V.
However it is essential that you know what you are looking for before
commencing the scans.
MRI scanning is no good for segmenting bone but is very good for soft
tissues. However, there are many different ways of configuring an MRI scan
which will give dramatically different results depending on which tissue
type you are interested in.
I strongly recommend talking to the radiographer who will conduct the
scanning before commencing.
Another problem may result from the output media from the MRI scanner which
are often optical disks which require specialist software and hardware
drivers to read.
If you would like any data converted I would more than willing to do it for
you for a small fee.
