TCT 2001 CALL FOR PAPERS
26th & 27th September 2001 - MICC, Manchester, UK
Abstract Deadline 23rd February
Have you successfully reduced your Product Development Times?
Are you currently writing a research paper with wide reaching implications?
Can you drive discussion relevant to the Design Engineering Community?
TCT 2001 is an annual two day conference and exhibition now in it's sixth
year. The objective of the conference is to profile new research in tct's
(time-compression technologies), to showcase the current applications which
are allowing manufacturers to make real time and cost savings and to address
the issues that are impacting on Design Engineering today. The way in which
we do this is by inviting world class research teams and manufacturers to
talk at first hand about successful projects; thereby benchmarking
themselves alongside their peers and addressing pertinent issues.
Let us know in no more than 200 words.
Abstracts should detail the merits of tctıs as well as any problems that
were encountered and/or overcome whilst managing a project. In addition
submissions should contain a provisional title, a summary statement of the
overall paper and an indication of the appropriate session area(s) the final
paper falls into.
Sessions we are considering are:
v RAPID MANUFACTURING
v LOW VOLUME MANUFACTURING
v REVERSE ENGINEERING
v RAPID TOOLING
v RAPID PROTOTYPING
v CAD / VR / DATA ANALYSIS
v DIRECT APPLICATIONS OF RAPID PROTOTYPING & TOOLING
v DESIGN METHODOLOGIES
v MOULD MAKING / HARD TOOLING
v RAPID MANUFACTURE OF METAL COMPONENTS & TOOLS
v FUTURE DEVELOPMENTS
v MANAGEMENT ISSUES
The organisers wish to stress that no sales presentations will be accepted
and that all abstracts, draft and final papers will be subject to a
selection process by TCT as well as by our Referee and Steering Committees.

significant form prior to the date of the conference.
