To me it looks like a number of researchers in the organ/food
("printed muscles") area simply try to jump the 3D printing hype.
Whatever processes they show up with, it's about getting biologically
grown stuff into an appearance appreciated by humans, only. Growing
meat-like gibberish in a chemical reactor to solve the worlds' food
problem apparently isn't illustrative enough to get public support.
