RE: [rp-ml] QR code on Zcorp plaster?

Hi Jonathan - I have made QR codes on Objet models - I think it would be much easier on Zcorp models. For Objet, I needed to convert them to 3D STL files, for Zcorp, you could just map the image.

I use this website (http://keremerkan.net/qr-code-and-2d-code-generator/) to create the code, as a JPG and then I used magics "create from bitmap" command. You could just use Zedit or Magics to apply the code as a texture.

i am hoping to finalize a project by getting a couple of replacements for model exhibited at SIGgraph in 2008 and want to test whether i can get QR codes on these. anyone interested in helping me complete a project by testing this on a series of /shelled/ mathematical models?

i would like to make these available to mathematics departments and now that i plan to shell them i can supply them at a reduced cost. if i can get QR codes on them this would be nice in order to identify where they came from.

anyone tried this? a google search seems to have turned up indeterminate results.
