Chuck,
Have you looked into some of the stiffer FDM materials, like PC, that are available on the larger machine platforms? it is substantially stiffer than the ABS that you would have gotten on the dimension.

Subject: [rp-ml] Low cost rigid parts
Hello everyone,
I'm trying to find a way to manufacture a part that is 1 inch by 2 inches and has minimal flexing of the material. Trying to keep material cost under $5 per part.
Looked at objet and dimension machines, but the part flexes too much.
Are there hardening techniques that can be used for some of the machines out there without losing accuracy?
Thanks to anyone with some suggestions.
Thanks,
-Chuck
