I would also mention that zbrush is pretty robust when it comes to
sculpting. It is my favorite and very versatile. There is 3dcoat as well.

     I ;just read about Tactus Technologies Protean Clay.

The site says that a user of a Novint Falcon can work with virtual clay. The
Novint Falcon allows the user to "feel" the clay. Anyone tried this
software? At $99 its certainly afforadable and a demo can be downloaded.
