Dear All

NUS is looking for 2 Associate or Assistant Professors in the field
of automotive engineering and design to support a new teaching
programme in automotive engineering within the Mechanical Engineering Dept.

Whilst Singapore doesn't have a primary automobile manufacturing
facility, there is a substantial supporting industry. The automotive
engineering programme will suit anyone interested in performance or
nonstandard technologies. For example, with the recent success in the
Singapore F1 and the work being carried out on a new permanent
racetrack suitable for touring car racing there is significant
interest in autosports. Furthermore, Singapore Technologies Kinetics
works closely with the armed forces and civil defence in development
of vehicles like personnel carriers, ATVs, etc. Singapore is also
leading the way in alternative energy programmes like biofuels, XTL
technology, hydrogen fuel cells and solar power which are all
attracting substantial research funds.

NUS is ranked 30th in the world's top 200 universities and is 4th in
Asia. It is a pleasant and dynamic place to work with great
facilities and infrastructure for career and research development.

If you know of anyone who may be interested in this opportunity,
please ask them to contact me.

Regards

IG
