FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

EuroMold 2007 Conference to Focus on the Custom Manufacturing MegaTrend

FORT COLLINS, COLORADO, USA, September 19, 2007-DEMAT GmbH (Frankfurt, Germany) and Wohlers Associates, Inc. have announced their ninth annual international conference to coincide with the large EuroMold trade fair in Frankfurt, Germany. This year's conference, titled The Custom Manufacturing MegaTrend: Where China and the West Fit In, will occur on Friday, December 7 at EuroMold 2007. The trade fair is December 5-8 at the Exhibition Center Frankfurt.

In the past, this conference has covered the latest trends and what the future holds in rapid product development, 3D printing, and additive fabrication. This year's conference brings a new and interesting focus to the event. Eight experts from China, Europe, and the USA will investigate the growing number of opportunities in custom and short run production. The conference will clarify why custom manufacturing is becoming increasingly important, especially in the West. The speakers are expected to review ways in which companies might be able to achieve German quality at Chinese prices.

"The subject of this conference is timely and critical to the future of manufacturing," said Dr. Eberhard Döring, chief executive at DEMAT, the organizer of EuroMold. "Many new and exciting applications of rapid manufacturing are supporting the custom manufacturing megatrend, so we are delighted to offer this important event," Döring stated.

Last year, 1,674 exhibitors from 41 countries and more than 60,000 engineers, toolmakers, managers, and executives from 84 countries used EuroMold as their meeting place. The Global Alliance of Rapid Prototyping Associations (GARPA), a non-profit organization that Wohlers co-founded in 1998, has endorsed the conference and is participating in it, similar to the past several years.
