Sorry Steve

I interpreted the question to mean the same thing, but misunderstood
your response. I agree that they all do, but some are significantly
worse than others.

As for my response to Judy, I'm afraid that I inadvertently replied off
list, so I have pasted it in below.

Out gassing is a bit of an odd one. It can occur if the resin is
over-cured or under-cured. As to if it's a problem, it really depends on
your application. I believe that it's possible to sample the gas (if you
have any) and asses the cause. Probably the best bet would be to talk to
your resin manufacturer.

Pat,

I had interpreted the question to mean whether or not the cured parts
(post PCA) would outgas or not. I agree, and am sure they all outgas in
the machine when being hit with a laser.

Steve

Not strictly true. Some resins outgas in the machine whilst following
all of the manufacturer guidelines and parameters.

Judy,

I believe so. Especially with those folks that build for speed and tend
to shortcut the curing in the machine by tweaking parameters.

Has anyone out there ever heard of SLA parts out gassing after being
cured? Someone mentioned this to me as a potential issue & frankly I've
never heard anything about it before.

Thanks!
