I'm admittedly biased, but one of the best is SME's annual event. RP&M 2005 was held this week in Dearborn, Michigan.
Also, consider the following:
June 21, 2005, 28th Japan Rapid Prototyping Symposium, Tokyo, Japan. This fine conference coincides with the following exhibition.
June 22-24, 2005, 16th Design Engineering & Manufacturing Solutions Expo 2005, Tokyo, Japan. This is the best exhibition on the subject in Japan.
Aug 1-3, 2005, 16th Solid Freeform Fabrication Symposium, Austin, Texas. This is arguably the best research oriented event on the subject, according those who have attended.
Sept 28 - Oct 1, 2005, 2nd International Conference on Advanced Research in Virtual and Rapid Prototyping (VRAP), Leiria, Portugal. The first one was excellent and very well attended.
October 25-27, 2005, RAPDASA 2005, Rapid Product Development Association of South Africa's sixth annual international conference, Pretoria, South Africa. Details are not yet available on the 2005 event, but you can review the 2004 conference. It is definitely worth the time, effort, and cost to attend and I recommend it highly.
Nov 30 - Dec 3, 2005, EuroMold 2005, Frankfurt, Germany. This is, by far, the best trade fair on the subject in Europe. A special one-day conference is held each year on Friday. This year, it will be Dec 2 and details on it are not yet available.
