Senior Prototype Model Makers Wanted

High-Quality Model Shop with 24+ years experience specializes in
high-tech consumer electronic design & rapid prototyping. We are looking
for professional Model Makers with min. 6 years experience.
Skills include ultra-fine model detailing, spray painting, finishing,
custom color mixing, SLA finishing, & RTV molding. Creativity a must.
NW suburb of Chicago, IL. Full time position with OT, relocation & full
benefits.

Employees will work closely with in house designers and engineers to
produce detailed working prototypes and photo ready visual models for
our customers.

Specific tasks include:

-Final finishing, painting, polishing and assembly of a variety of
materials, such as ABS, aluminum, SLA, acrylic, urethanes, etc.
-Custom color mixing of urethane paints.
-High polishing acrylic and aluminum.
-Budget time and work efficiently in order meet tight schedules.

Job Requirements: Designcraft’s ideal team member needs many skills.
-Leadership experience a plus. Potential for long term supervisory
position.
-6+ years experience as model maker.
-Pride in ones work.
-Attention to detail.
-Enthusiasm for learning new skills.
-Base knowledge of color theory and has the ability to apply it to
custom color mixing of lacquers or urethanes.
-Ability to work with customers, co-workers and as an independent.
-Additional experience with RTV molding, polyurethane casting, and other
traditional model making skills is an asset.
-Desire to take part in a fast paced and challenging work environment.
