Try - Kataria, A. and Rosen, D.W., "Building Around Inserts: Methods for
Fabricating Complex Devices in Stereolithography," ASME Mechanisms
Conference, paper #DETC00/MECH-14206, Baltimore, Sept. 10-13, 2000.

This should also have appeared in the Rapid Prototyping Journal in the interim.
