TYLER SCHOOL OF ART, TEMPLE UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES THE TIFFANY & CO.
FOUNDATION GRADUATE RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS: May 30, 2003

The Tiffany & Co. Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship in the Metals /
Jewelry / CAD-CAM Area of the Tyler School of Art has been established by a
grant from The Tiffany & Co. Foundation. The grant also provides for the
creation of a rapid prototyping research facility which includes a Z
Corporation Z 406 Color 3D Printer.

We invite applications for this position which will provide the successful
candidate with $52,000 in full tuition remission and stipends, over two
years, beginning in September 2003.

The successful candidate for this position will assist Professor Stanley
Lechtzin in developing suitable materials and procedures for applying the
ZCast Direct Metal Casting process to the vacuum and centrifugal assisted
casting of jewelry and small sculpture.

Qualifications: Must meet all qualifications for admission into the Tyler
School of Art Graduate program including a BFA in metals/jewelry or
equivalent major. Experience with the creation of computer-aided-design
solids models preferred.

work in 35mm slide or on CD and a college transcript.
