Post processing of duraform parts

Dear List,
Has anyone looked at post processing (other than infiltration) of duraform
or similar parts to improve mechanical properties and/or surface finish of
parts? I imagine that thermal processing such as HIPping may have been
attempted.

Any input appreciated.
