SCHMIT PROTOTYPES, INC. Menomonie, WI, a world class prototyping company, has an immediate opening for a CNC MACHINIST/TOOLMAKER
Responsibilities: Creating accurate, visual and engineering models/prototypes of consumer products from various plastic materials. Surfcam programming to CNC machine master patterns and final finish models. Set-up, operate, and lay out all machining operations to construct, alter, and repair fast aluminum prototype tools for injection molding.
Requirements. Experience in machining aluminum, plastics and steels, CNC machine operation and set-up; CNC programming experience (Surfcam preferred) with a background in EDM (Sinker), CNC lathes, mills and grinders, jigs, fixtures, and prototype tools. Model Making skills and excellent finishing skills with attention to fine detail.
