APMM Launches "Elements for Success" Conference 2002 Website at www.APMM2002.com

March 3, 2002 – The Association of Professional Model Makers announced today
the launch of their 2002 Conference website, http://www.APMM2002.com.
“Elements for Success”, the 2002 meeting of the APMM, will be held September
20-23, 2002 in Silver Spring, MD.

Professional model makers, material and equipment suppliers, and educators
will address a wide range of disciplines in Conference and Product
Information Workshops, to share their expertise, and help Attendees better
position themselves for their model making careers.

The 2002 venues include the Hilton Silver Spring host hotel, the Smithsonian
Office of Exhibits Central (OEC), and Black & Decker / DEWALT.

Conference activities begin the evening of Thursday, September 19 with a
light-fare reception at the Hilton Silver Spring. On Friday evening,
Attendees and their Guests gather for the Keynote Dinner and Speaker
presentation at the host hotel. The Keynote Dinner is included in the
registration price for Attendees, and Guest passes may be purchased
separately online.

Attendees will enjoy two days of Model Shop Tours on Friday and Monday to
the Smithsonian OEC and Black & Decker / DEWALT facilities. Only limited
space is available on the Model Shop Tours, so register today to insure that
you do not miss out.

Saturday and Sunday will be filled with technical, non-technical, and
management workshops taking place at the Hilton Silver Spring hotel. A
program of over 25 workshops is already available on the website, and
additional workshops are being added each week. Workshop presenters
currently include the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Black & Decker
/ DEWALT, the International Lead Zinc Research Organization (ILZRO), LGM,
Hamilton Beach / Proctor Silex, Tom Musto Photography, Up-Close Realism, and
many others. An optional workshop buffet lunch is available for purchase
during the registration process.

Attendees and Vendors will enjoy ample time to network all four days, and
Vendors will be highlighted during the Sunday Evening Expo in the Hilton
Silver Spring Maryland Ballroom. Tabletop exhibits will be featured in
company with the Vendor Product Prize Drawings, Tiki Carving Contest, Vendor
Tabletop Contests, and Student Model Making Competition Awards on Sunday
evening.
