Brian,

    Absolutely.
-- There is a journal by that very name, which is an academic research journal (http://www.emeraldinsight.com/rpj.htm).
-- There is also a less highbrow, more industrial focused newsletter called the "Rapid Prototyping Report" (http://www.cadcamnet.com).
-- Then there are the glossy magazine, one each in the US and Europe, both with the same name, "Time Compression Technologies" (TCT), although they are independent. (http://www.timecompress.com for the US version, http://www.time-compression.com for the European).
-- There are also numerous good sources of information on the Web, and for academic research, another good source is the conference proceedings, especially the SSF in Austin, Texas (https://utwired.engr.utexas.edu/lff/symposium/index.cfm).

The first two do not take advertising and have substantial subscription fees. The TCT magazines you can qualify to get for free. Happy reading!
