Vantico and 3D Extend Distribution Agreement
 
EAST LANSING, Mich., February 13, 2002 - Vantico Inc. today announced that it and 3D Systems, Inc. have extended to May 1, 2002 the termination date of their distribution and joint development agreements. These agreements had been scheduled to terminate in mid-February, 2002. Under the extension, 3D Systems will continue, through May 1, 2002, to be the exclusive worldwide source (except for Japan) for Vantico's photopolymers for stereolithography (SL).
        Vantico's comprehensive family of SL photopolymers includes 17 different materials that are used for the production of accurate, durable models with such diverse characteristics as humidity and high-temperature resistance and tough, polypropylene-like properties. Vantico also manufactures and markets a broad range of epoxy and polyurethane systems for modeling, moldmaking, prototyping and forming initial parts to the automotive, foundry, aerospace and general manufacturing industries. The company has been a world leader in plastic tooling materials for more than 60 years.
