No time to fix a file? STLfix.com does it for you!
Do you need to have your data repaired or optimized urgently, but don’t have
the time to do it?

Do you rarely have files that require repairing, so you don’t feel like
investing in an entire software program?

Is the defective file too complicated to repair by yourself?

Then call on STLfix.com, a new Materialise service!

Materialise, provider of industry leading STL manipulation software,
announces the start of its new on-line repair service called STLfix.com. A
team of dedicated engineers, working around the clock, repairs and optimizes
your 3D CAD files. Files that can be fixed by using the ‘automatic fixing’
functionality are repaired free of charge. For parts that need more
extensive repairing or optimization, the flexible pricing system is based on
a ‘No cure, no pay’ guarantee.

As STL handling specialist, Materialise offers an extensive range of
dedicated software packages with applications in many sectors like for
example the RP sector and the FEA sector. The Materialise software doesn’t
only enable you to repair STL files with geometric defects (like holes and
overlaps), but also allows the optimization of your data via e.g. smoothing
operations. Thanks to the high level of automation and the powerful
capabilities, all this is done within the shortest lead times, enabling you
to shorten your time-to-market.

To complete the range Materialise now starts a 24hour, on-line Internet
service which repairs and optimizes STL data. The service also provides a
quick translation to STL from following formats: Unigraphics/Parasolid,
IGES, VDA, DXF (3D Faces), VRML and CATIA.

When you upload your file, you will receive an e-mail informing you with the
list of errors and with the cost to repair your file. If you then decide to
order, you can track the status of your order on the Project List Page and
consult information about individual files simply by clicking on the Project
ID.

In the case you want to discuss your file with one of the STLfix engineers,
you can download the Magics Communicator free viewer at
www.materialise.be/communicator. With this free viewer you can start and
accept on-line real-time 3D conferences with the STLfix.com team.
