In the past, we've had lower power and longer hours. Now we're getting
higher power and shorter hours. We are averaging between 28-38 mw for
around 2800- 3200 hours and then they hit lower 20s and die around
4200-4400 hours.

Hi Everyone,

There has been some discussion in the past about poor reliability of the
He Cd lasers.  Has that changed?  What is the typical life?  I heard it
was around 4000 hours not the 7000 to 8000 hours we used to get?

Thanks,
Jim
