Hi folks:

There is also a short article in yesterday's Wall St. Journal (pA15) that I
just came across. Here are a couple of quotes that weren't in prev posted
material:

"The Justice Dept. sued to block...the proposed $45 million
acquisition...saying the deal would stifle innovation and raise prices for
machinery...".

"The Justice Dept. said the merger would combine the nations two largest
makers..., reducing the total number to two from three. ...The combined
entity would capture 80% of the revenue in the US market..."

""This is the classic kind of competitive problem that the merger laws were
intended to prevent," said John M. Nannes, acting assistant attorney
general...".
