Hello Denis Cadamuro,

I have made standalone software that performed
 - adaptive slicing (2.5D) for 'standard' RP (zero order approximation)
 - adaptive slicing for layers with sloping boundary surfaces (first
order approximation)
both based on local curvature and surface normals.

The input for this software was a CAD model, and the user of the
software could specify an allowed deviation (error) that was used for
the layer thickness calculations. The software was called DUTIS:
Delft University of Technology Intelligent Slicer

I have done this for my PhD (which I finished in 1998). I just recently
started
to work again on this software.

What else do you need to know?

Regards,

Peter de Jager.
