Hello all,

I Just got this MSNBC news alert.

BY MID-MORNING, several antivirus firms had given "NakedWife" a high risk rating because of the damage it can cause and because it appears to be spreading quickly.

Victims will likely find their computer inoperative: the bug deletes all .BMP, .COM, .DLL, .EXE, and .INI files as soon as it infects a computer. It also erases every file in the WINDOWS and WINDOWS/System directories.

A spokesperson for McAfee, a division of Network Associates Inc., said 25 clients had reported receiving copies of the virus; Symantec Inc. said 30 of its clients had received it.

The bug is unique because it poses as a Macromedia Flash movie. It arrives with the subject line "FW: Naked Wife." The body of the message reads: "My wife never look like that! ;-) Best Regards," followed by the sender's name. The attachment is called "NakedWife.exe."
