Of course, you can contact the manufacturer who would be more than
pleased to provide you with technical information. Their web site is
www.vantico.com. They have a handy CD that can answer most of your
initial technical questions as well. Currently I am running RP-6461 and
RP6419 in two of my meter-mixers. They also provide a line of materials
that are for hand processing which we also use. A side note. Vantico
products use to be Ciba-Geigy, formulated systems group.
We have tried to run several of their parts-in-minutes materials without
the aid of a meter mixer. As long as the parts are less than 50-75mm or
so in length and relatively simple in geometry, you can sometimes get
acceptable results. If you are looking for quality and consistency in
your parts, you will find this very difficult at best to accomplish.
The materials do set very quickly, even if you cool the component resins
prior to mixing.
