Hello, Rp-ml members.
At Saint-Petersburg State Institute of Fine Mechanics
and Optics we (Laser Technology Department) going to
start some work in Selective Laser Sintering. My
question is addressed to all customers of SLS
products (and to everybody who has an opinion) .

Which directions for research at this field are
promising and desirable?

New materials? (Ti, clad metals, intermetallides)?
New accuracies? (which tolerances (Rz) of .green.
parts are requested)?
Reducing cost of equipment and materials?
Improving the work of powder supply and slice
formation?

I would very appreciate any answers (even in a few
words), especially with concrete parameters
(materials, Rz, hardness and so on).

Thanks in advance,
Andrew Labian,PhD
