There is other option besides the acquisition of a separate PC to run an STL
viewer and other Windows only programs (which I did). I believe one can
purchase a replacement processor board for the Mac which contains both the
Mac OS and Windows which can be run independently of each other, one at a
time. This way you have the capability of running Windows only programs at
full speed when you need them and still retain the simplicity of the Mac OS
for other uses.
