Dr. Mueller,
I have to disagree. CT (Computer Tomography) can do ALL types of geometry.
Deep pockets, sharp corners, hidden surfs- nothing can hide from X-rays.

Polygonal data is easily converted from the point cloud generated by the CT
process.
For more information, contact me directly.

Regards,
Jason

Dear Gert,

we can supply an accurate digitizer (
http://www.gom.com/En/Products/atos.html ) but if it can do pockets,
depends mainly on the pocket.

All triangulation based optical scanners have to see what has to be
digitized and in addition we need to have access from at least one other
direction (to do the triangulation).

It is no systems without limitations, and only the combination of CMM
and scanner can do "almost" all.

For your area, Ben Ng is your contact, at mailto:benng@protechnic.com.hk
. Please keep me informed if you need additional information.

With best regards

Ernst Mueller
