We do use STL-data for milling our moulds, dies, prototypes etc. If you want
more in-depth information about milling on STL files go to our website (se
address below) and download our paper presented at TCT98. You can find all
the information concerning your questions in it.
Also you can find other information regarding applications of STL files: for
instance our Draftangulator software for dividing STL-parts in core/cavity
and putting draft on it (download paper TCT99 and/or ask free demo CD) or
our just released STL-Painter which is developed for/in conjunction with
Z-CORP for their magic 3D-colorprinter

I'm looking for an updated overview about CAM packages that can

Does anyone of you know more packages, please let me know. I will
