Dear Michelle:

You are in the wrong group for this subject. Unfortunately, the term "rapid
prototyping" is also used for software development, and it also has a broad
meaning there. You will find references under this term to the development
of DSP systems, complex simulation and control, artificial intelligence and
probably other fields, as well.

Searching the web might be somewhat frustrating, but if you put the term "RP"
into AltaVista's advanced search function, (or Google or HotBot), the very
first thing that usually comes up is a link to MIT's DSP group, and maybe
there's more info there.

Least annoying would be to do a search in the Compendex, ASTI or other
academic engineering indices that you might gain access to at a local college.

Hope this helps.
