(as the name sounds very Dutch indeed).
Creating STL files on a Mac does not differ from creating them on a PC:
just select the appropriate export function in you CAD software and the
file will be created. As most downstream processes will use Windows
instead of a Mac you will have to transfer the resulting file to a PC, which
can be done using a network, floppy, CD or any other media.
We have customers using FormZ on Mac and using Vellum on Mac, both
exporting STL to be used with DeskProto on a PC. For a Design school
this is an ideal setup to teach the students RP at low cost - sorry, cannot
resist some marketing.
