Hi all - Looking at a new application for a customer in aluminum bronze. Very
large, eccentric shaped castings 83" tall x 5.2" thick. Widths vary. Casting
weights range from 600 lbs to 1,600 lbs. Material is Alloy C95800.
There are 16 different shapes. My customer will need 3 castings of each shape
made (48 total). They will put these together into an assembly. Total weight
of all castings assembled is 48,500 lbs (casting weight).
Program is in the early phases now. They don't expect to start building this
system until 2001. Project has international backing & is very well funded.
Anyone out there handle castings of this size?
