Carl;
For your information.

In Sept 1998ish, Mr. Steve Guerin of The National Research Council of Canada ,
the I. R. A P. Division in Toronto,Canada ran one of the best conferences on
Rapid Prototyping that I have ever attended or spoke at. Steve told all the
speakers the meaning of this conference was to inform people about RP and all
it's benefits. He said that anyone trying to turn this into a sales contest
would be asked to leave. We told the group what is required to operate the an RP
operation, CAD Packages, stl files, software and hardware. Not one price was
mentioned and most of the speakers even said what some of the unit problems
were.

The results were fantastic. Approx. 200 people walked away with the most
positive outlook on RP because we spoke about the positives regarding RP. I
spoke about LOM and My co-worker spoke about Sanders. Mass Prototyping spoke
about Sla, someone about Sls and a few other RP Manufacturers spoke about their
processes. This is where good exposure comes from.

Steve Guerin deserves kudos for a job well done as I am still getting phone
calls to this day from these people. Two had bought RP Units.

We need more conferences like this!
