A big thanks Materialise and MCP Systems for sponsoring the RPML meeting on
Wednesday evening. Also thanks to Terry Wholers for provided a copy of his
State of the Industry Report as a door prize. Gary Rabinovitz of Reebok
was the lucky winner.
Between 65-75 people came and enjoyed good food, drinks, and
discussions. I received around 30+ items for the RPML wish list. Since
many of you could not travel to Chicago to join us.......I want to extend
to you the opportunity to express your wishes for the RP industry. I will
compile this list and then re-submit it to the group so you can vote to
pick your top five wishes, needs or desires for the industry. This top
five wishes along with the entire list will be provided to vendors, users,
researchers, and conference providers so the user community can receive
maximum benefits.
The RP user community MUST help set the direction for the next decade of
innovations and applications. While RP has come a long way over the past
12 years but I personally feel it has yet to scratch the surface of
potential. Please contribute your thoughts to this wish list so we users
can help set the direction of this technology for 2010 and beyond. If all
1700+ people on this list contributed wishes what an impact this could have
on the industry! Your silence will speak as an indication of little or no
interest in the technology or it's growth.
