Last month, NEPCON hosted a senior executive forum on The Future Factory
produced by Pamela Gordon of Technology Forecasters. The afternoon session
on the subject of Responding to the Need for Mass Customization featured a
panel of Rodolfo Archbold, chief technology officer of Manufacturers’
Services Ltd., Lisa Colnett, senior vice president of Celestica, John R.
Thome, corporate director for manufacturing systems of Motorola, and myself.
The discussion started out with each panel member offering brief
introductory comments. I've posted my prepared remarks at
