Tank and tubes for brake fluid, oil and water

Hi RP friends!

I am a student of the Technical University of Clausthal in Germany and at
the moment I do my diploma thesis.

The subject of this work is, to build tanks and tubes with RP
technologies. I want to use the materials Duraform and Duraform GF @ DTM and ABS @ FDM
to build up the tanks and the material Somos201 @ DTM to generate tubes.

The idea is to check, if it may be possible to use this prototypes for
functional tests.

It should be tested, if it is possible to use some kind of resin to glue
and to seal up these parts. Afterwards the resistance to brake fluid,
kerosine and hydraulic oil should be tested. Furthermore it should be tested if the
resin improves the strength of the material. For this purpose an
investigation should be done to check out the material properties of the infiltrated
material.

My questions are:
Does anybody know anything about this subject?
Has somebody done investigations on RP material properties, e.g. Strength,
stiffness and resistance tests to laods and fluids?
What kind of resin are already used for that purpose?
Some idea about necessary test procedure?

I think you get the idea and you may hopefully help me.

Best regards

Guido Wesselmann
