Organized by The University of Hong Kong (HKU)
In Cooperation with
GMS (The Geometric Modeling Society, UK)

General Information
===================
Geometric Modeling and Processing 2000 (GMP 2000) will be held in Hong Kong
on April 10-12, 2000. GMP 2000 is the first in a biennial international
conference series on solid modeling, shape representation and geometric
computation. Modeling and processing of geometric shape is fundamental
to many disciplines, such as computer graphics, computer vision, CAD/CAM,
medical imaging and scientific computation. GMP 2000 will provide a forum
for researchers and practitioners to exchange and discuss problems and new
solutions in geometric design. The next conference GMP2002 will be held in
Korea.
Conference Topics
=================
Topics to be covered include, but are not limited to:
Shape Representation
Solid Modeling
Curves and Surfaces
Mathematical Foundations of CAGD
We welcome papers on specific problems arising from applications of geometric
design, such as
Feature Modeling
Reverse Engineering
Rapid Prototyping
Mesh Generation for Analysis
Paper Submission
================
Full papers in English not exceeding 5000 words and containing original
results
are invited. All papers will be refereed by an international program
committee.
The conference proceedings will be published by the IEEE Computer Society
Press. Papers of outstanding quality will be recommended for publication
in a special issue of Computer-Aided Design.
The schedule for paper submission is as follows.
October 20, 1999: Submission of full papers
December 10, 1999: Notification of acceptance
January 7, 2000: Camera ready papers due
April 10-12, 2000: Three days of conference
The front page of a paper should contain the author's affiliation,
correspondence address, and email address. We encourage electronic
submission. Papers should be submitted by October 20, 1999 to
or
