Hi Gill,

I developed some RP software at the University Of Queensland for my PhD. The
software is called TruSurf and it slices NURBS CAD models for processing on a
five axis machine ( ie the layers can have sloping side surfaces to eliminate
the stair case effect on layer built parts). TruSurf can also perform adaptive
slicing, that is choose different layer thicknesses for each slice, based on
local surface curvature, to optimise build speed and accuracy.
