The University is involved in a major UK project concerned with Laminated
Tooling for Die-Casting. The partners in this project include Rover Group,
Lucas Varity, Perkins Engine Co., Transtec, Webster Keights Ltd., Sulzer
Metco and University of Warwick.
You will be responsible for undertaking research and experiments into the
use of Laminated tooling for die-casting. There will be a requirement to
travel to the partner's locations within the UK for meetings and to present
information on the progress of the project. Reports will also be required
for partner information or for the Engineering and Physical Science Research
Council.
Working as part of a multi company team you will have an upper second class
honours degree in an engineering subject: knowledge of Laminated Tooling or
die-casting would be an advantage as would industrial experience especially
in the area of rapid prototyping and rapid tooling.
