Seeking quote on simple experiment

Dear RP-ML,

A client of ours is interested in custom fabricating a product using a
specific material that is currently used to make the product, a soft
thermoplastic material with adhesive properties. We believe that there are
two possible processes to fab directly in this material without
modification:
-- Extrusion, as in the Stratasys FDM or Genisys, and
-- Inkjet, as in the 3D Systems Actua or ThermoJet. (The product
does not require the high precision of the Sanders ModelMaker.)
The client has asked us to find out what it would cost to fab a slab of
material in order to test compatibility of the material with the process. I
would like to hear from people on this list who have any of the above
equipment, or experimental setups of similar technologies, that can be
adapted to test new materials. If this applies to you, would you please tell
me (a) what would be involved in performing such a test, and (b) what it
would cost? Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.

    Thank you.

Best regards,
Marshall Burns
