Hi this is a general question to all of you designers and enginneers,
service b's etc.

The IGES specification has defined BREP solid modeling capabilities for data
exchange. How much, if at all, is it used. My understanding is that most
users save the surface information and the reading modeler then creates its
own solid model from this set of surfaces. Did introduction of STEP hamper
the use of IGES BREP modeling capabilities.

What is the industry prevelance?

Thanks in advance
