 Al Hastbacka,

Congratulations - and thanks for sharing your progress.

Your little demo part shows, clearer than any other I've yet seen, how greatly
the
comprehension and communication of complex 3-D information can be enhanced
with the addition of color. The "information capacity" is vastly increased.

Many people have been surprised how much "3-D hardcopy" can assist
visualization (as we read in that wonderful June 1998 "Discover" article).
Your work should make it easier for them to imagine the added value of being
able to print complex colored information on 3-D models. More people will
wonder WHEN we'll be able to easily produce a simple "3-D print" which
faithfully represents a model we create and/or view on our monitor - all that
colored 3-D information available, right where we can really and truly "grasp
it."

You're just beginning to touch the surface of an entirely new market - one
where there is no competition from CNC, or any other existing process. Good
luck (and please don't let the skeptics slow you down).
