STL Creation

There are two amendments you may like to add to Scott "Scooter" Sutterer
list,
with regards to stl output from SDRC IDEAS

1 If you shade the model first and the select the object to produce
the stl output using the show mesh option box maps the mesh over the shaded
object and by placing the cursor pointer inside the viewing window then it
is possible to use the function buttons F1, F2 and F3 to pan, zoom and
rotate the model and see how well the facets have been generated.

2 If you are modelling an object that is bigger than SLA500 or you are
using another prototyping device that is not in the selection box then
create one yourself.

copy the file sla250.dat to a new file called sla700.dat ( only rumours of
this big beauty ) and edit sla700.dat and change the third line from
250,250,250 to 700,700,700

I have just one file to select slabig.dat and the size limits are
2000000,2000000,2000000

go on 3D Systems, DTM, Sanders, Zcorp, Aaroflex, etc. build one that big.
