I used to work for a RP bureau where we received files from many
systems - one of which was SolidDesigner. We encountered no
problems with SolidDesigner files, in fact they were very good.

I now work as a Product Designer and use SolidDesigner. One of my
colleagues was told his SolidDesigner .stl file was very faceted.
I have recently gone through the .stl loop with two parts I
designed on SolidDesigner. My recommendation is to increase the
parts FACET REFINEMENT before creating the .stl file. You can
see the difference by viewing the part in wire mode.
