Even if the basic Keltool patent expires, any incremental improvements
patented by 3M or 3D and purchased or licensed by 3D do not expire. Since it
is most likely that these incremental improvements are needed to make Keltool
viable, it seems extremely unlikely that Keltool will be suddenly "up for
grabs."
