InPart Signs Adept Technology, Inc. as Latest Manufacturing Partner
                           (Business Wire; 09/18/98)

SARATOGA, CALIF. (Sept. 18) BUSINESS WIRE -Sept. 18, 1998--

Deal positions DesignSuite as a more robust and comprehensive engineering
solution

InPart, the leading provider of 3D content and tools for the mechanical
engineering market, announces factory automation leader Adept(R)
Technology, Inc. as its latest DesignSuite manufacturing partner. InPart
has strengthened its position within the factory automation market with the
addition of Adept's full range of robot, vision, and motion control
products to its DesignSuite Internet-based library service. In addition,
DesignSuite models will be compatible with the AdeptRapid(TM) simulation
software used for designing and programming factory automation workcells
for small parts assembly and material handling. Adept's participation
enables more system integrators to be able to create custom automation
solutions for their clients.

"With the addition of Adept products to DesignSuite, system integrators can
now more easily design Adept equipment into their workcells up-front," said
Eric Jacobs, Adept's product manager of simulation products. "This saves
valuable engineering time and allows workcells to be fully evaluated before
implementation, thereby reducing the cost and risk of automation workcell
design.

Adept Technology, Inc. founded in 1983, is America's largest manufacturer
of industrial robots. Adept designs and manufactures intelligent automation
hardware and software products for manufacturers in the electronics,
