Hi Peter,

The best way to make the required geometry transfer is using
IGES (IGS) only: directly export IGS from Solid Edge.

This way you do not have to convert, and more important you end with
higher quality geometry. While STL is OK for 'downstream processes'
like visualising and prototyping, it is not a good format in case further
CAD modelling after the transfer is required.
