Dear List,

I just saw the movie. The scene shows the character building in a vat
with enhanced graphics. They do not show it scanning each layer. They
make it look like it happens in minutes. What a great way to tell people
about rapid prototpying though.

The sequence showed the process of the toys built and manufactured and
packaged. Curiously, the STL part was a little disappointing against the
other assembly packaging scenarios. The assembly scenarios "read" much
better.

I started to wonder why and then realized, of course. The manufacturing,
packaging sequences were in color. Duh!! Yet another fine example of the
need for full photo resolution color modeling.
