Investment casting

Dear list,

Some sculptors in my building put together an excellent little foundry
in back of the building (loft type set up). It is an investment type set
up with burn out and all. They've poured scuptures up to 4' tall and
achieved feature detail a little thicker than a paper bag. Its not the
clean room facility that Shreyas is talking about but its quite
impressive what a couple of guys can do scrounging around various
facilities for discarded equipment.
